Short last week at 3.93

Stop 4.05

A solid close below 3.60 and a correction lasting a few months (2 - 3) is likely

Good today, the 3.60 support level will be my hesitation point.

Quite classical head and shoulders top on this one. Position entry based on hesitation last week on the right shoulder

Still short and 3.60 still holding?

This could quite easily be a case of closing out my short position and going long all on the same day.

So far the Bears are doing all the work and not managing to kill 3.60. If they don't get their way soon they will exhaust themselves and this could be a great performing long

Hello Dutchy,
This is one I have been watching for some time but apparently for a different reason to you. If I could buy near its 12 month low it would be a good yield long term hold for me. Do you look at any fundamentals or only TA?
Regards, Ron.

Hi ronny

Pretty much only TA.

I do look at the size of the company and the volume of $ that trade over a 50 day average. That's more to ensure I can trade in and out when I need to.

On reflection though I am, or was in a past life an Accountant, and I do take an interest in economics, read the AFR, watch the ABC, etc ... so while I don't pour over Annual Reports I do have a mind to the stage or cycle the economy's in ... I remember calling COH's dive a while back. Yes the chart certainly allowed me to realise that we were days away from the event I was still calling on my knoweldge of what had been happening to the company in the months running up to that point.

So perhaps I'm a hybrid?

As for APA (2.60 last July) looks to me the 12 month low. At this point I think we will see a new all time high (+4.20) before 2.60 is revisited

Long position taken

My entry at 3.80 on this one. What can I say ... not much at the moment. Any close below 3.70 and I'd be lightening my load. From my TA view I love the months of frustration and the way it moved last from 3.60 on 23/5/05. I hold for Monday and be watching closely during the week

Todays price action is encouraging. I expect the all time high to be tested now

Sold out of this today .01 below my buy price. This should not be showing this sort of weakness after the performance it put in last week. Protective stop.
