elk-moose pasture.

good little minnow, but i sold down most this morning.
the market cap of this shouldn't be higher than bas/mog/epr combined.
relative value moved too far from my comfort zone.
the volume traded was a sign of exuberance returning.
cap raising has to happen to fund any major development,so i left a few to qualify for that [and 'just in case']

From AIRVIEW today
Shares in Elk Petroleum (ELK) more than doubled in price on Friday after the oil and gas explorer said a study showed more than 23 million barrels of oil remaining at its Greve field in the United States.
The stock reached as high as 52 cents and by mid afternoon it was up 141% at 44.5 cents.

More than 22 million shares had changed hands – the daily average volume is only 150,000.

The Grieve oil field is located in the Wind River Basin of Wyoming.

The study was by the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) at the University of Wyoming.

The results have given both EORI and Elk considerable confidence in the model, the company said.

“A final report on this study is expected to be received from the EORI this quarter”, Elk Chief Executive Richard Wood said.

Further studies would now take place, with a view to establishing the “most economically attractive production configuration,” the Sydney-based company said.

We do not hold ELK ...cheers eG

i entered recently when elk was a 15 mill cap company.
it was briefly a 60 mill cap company today, and that was the sign to get out.
the announcement was ok, but just not that special. i don't trade, but do try to get out while the going is still good.
40 cents not insane [but others preferred] however 80 cents [all but] was just casino chip stuff.

Elk is goin for the SPP at 9 cents to existing holders at closing date, interestingly todays low is 9.5 cents, the gap closes. I have held ELK for sometime, not that big a holding so I used the bottom drawer. Cheers - Tony

elk recently had a 10 cent cap raise, and i stumped up a bit.

had an announcement today that they had sold a small oilfield, and i sold down to recoup my risk capital.

sitting on a few elk now, still hoping after all these years, but at least i have my cash back.

probably worth watching closer,as a trading stock, with its own rules, but it does run every once in a while.....

Gees haven't even added the parcel into my portfolio book from the last SPP, now done that. It's quiet times like these that one can concentrate on the future fund. I noticed the rotting corpse total current assets number in the books, now under some fixing with the sale of some more than dead wood I guess. Nah hybrid I don't even remember how to sell ELK, can only hope for the big one if that's the case. Now where is that mailing slip from ELK registry? flippin thing probably was hiding in the bin.

got to the mid 20's today on announcing long term supply to get the co2 to flood the american stripper field .

elk has shown to run in the past. it might overshoot today, but this announcement has been hoped for longtime.

SPP 10c parcel looking very doozy, it did take a few days to return to the mid 20c but return it did on larger volume, looks like they are into the build phase for some project/s. Capex now spent on a project and venture loot for another project is being sourced with returns predicted. I am along for the ride, hoping for a bus ride and not some airfare on the back of my elk.

elk mid to high 30's.

liked todays announcement that sees a big oil company, with experience in stripper oil fields, farm in to elks project.

funding secured to the production stage,co2 supply and pipes. looks good.

i had my doubts for a while, but here we are,all but finally there.
