EXCEL SIMPLE QUESTION

EXCEL SIMPLE QUESTION

Postby cungevoi » Fri Oct 12, 2007 10:16 am

If you START EXCEL the manual says the excel program window appears, and the example shows that the Formula Bar appears as part of this window. My problem is that the blank windows sheet appears okay with the standard Title Bar and the Menu Bar showing, but the formula bar does not appear on my screen and despite all attempts to make it appear it refuses to display. Now I know this should be a simple action to get the damn thing to appear or to be re-instated. But I just need some immediate guidance.
The Formula bar has always previously displayed and is useful when re-checking formulae for errors, with the cell name showing and also any embedded formula displayed wherever the cursor is showing. Any Help Please. Cheers

Thank You IAN for the following post, I was sure it would be simple, but I just could not find the way.
Works fine now. Many Thanks

Hi cungevoi

From the Menu if you go Tools Options

then in the View menu there needs to be a tick next to Formula Bar.

cheers
