Cheers, Staybaker. :)

if it is fiction you want , then try

"The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S Clayson

- one for the kids that adults should read, but where the message outweighs the characters.

Novel Finance Background

Postby cungevoi » Fri Feb 25, 2005 8:32 am

For SOUTH's query re Novels & Finance. This may not be what you are after, but the novels mentioned below, are written by one of the outstanding providers of software for the Investment community. The Author is the designer and programmer for the FCHARTs FCPRO Charting software. He is obviously a very good systems designer and programmer and maybe a good novelist, however aligned more to science fiction rather than Finance and Investing. Neverthless you may pick up something of interest from this type of mind, from his novels.
If you can't find the reading you want I hope you have at least rented out the VCRs/DVDs "Wall Street", "The Bank", and "The Boiler Room".

Visit the FCHATRS or FCPRO site by clicking on the addresses below:

Quote taken from the FCPRO site.

Five years ago three different publishers told me the market for my humorous science fiction novel was too small to bother with. Determined to prove them wrong, I decided to self-publish my novel. (Coincidentally, this was one week after I decided to put my charting program on the internet.)

To distinguish my books from my software I've split the spacejock web pages in two. The software remains at http://www.spacejock.com, and everything to do with my novels resides at http://www.spacejock.com.au

As you can see from a glance at the addresses above, he has provided a wide range of free software to whet the appetite, for download and I have downloaded his ywriter2.exe file to help me plan/write. Cheers

Quite a few years ago South posted this request.
Anyone can suggest me some good fiction or novel in investment ( share investment) background?

Not sure if South is still around, but if he is, he may find this book a rewarding read, as we await the return of the good times. Others may also find it interesting to while away the downtime.

The Book is "MELTDOWN" ISBN978-0-230-70397-1 TPB, by Martin Baker and the paperback was purchased on sale for eight dollars from QBD. Read it in one session as it kept the interest up.

Although it is a work of fiction he brings to this book knowledge from his work as the personal investment editor of the International Herald Tribune in Paris for seven years. Cheers
