Love the layout of the front page! Very professional..... congrats to all involved. Great to see so many new members and posts. When I left 3 weeks ago we were up to just over 200 members and about 1300 posts, so people have been Very busy in my absence. Good to see. I just wonder when I'll find time to read all the new posts.

The main page works well. The post of the week is a little dated.

I just typed in shareguru dot com and it was scarey

But; for the original and the best, keep up the good work. Liked the culls on Traders corner, too.

A guru, in Hindi, is a teacher. (one who shares knowledge) (and kru in Khmer- same root)

I know that this is a forum open to all the reasonable and the not so reasonable. In the latter category, there is one poster who seems to be seriously disturbed and is also fixated about one particular stock. Any chance of moderation? Rehabilitation appears competely out of the question sad to say.

Judd

Most of us who have been forum members for a while know who you're talking about, and I think most of us deal with those posts in the same way - don't read 'em.

Unless a post is offensive, contains abusive or unacceptable language or contravenes other Forum guidelines it's generally not removed - as you say, this forum is open to all. There's plenty of quality posts to read without having to read everything that's posted here.

Hi Judy n Judd,

Sorry Judy but I'm with Judd on this one. I have sympathy for the individuals personal circumstances, but there has been offensive comments on a number of occasions. He has been warned (I think when he posted under another name).
Also, Gatekeeper has mentioned the capacity problems that are already causing old posts to be deleted. If large amounts of useless data is put on by one individual it effects all of us. At the very least, the offending posts should be deleted.

Icarus

Ps At Egoli, I recall some excellent posts from the same person.

My apologies if I have caused any disharmony. It wasn't my intention, nor is it, to see anyone banned or barred from this forum. Just such a difficult situation when so much effort has been put into this site by P.Diddy (I think).

And when I read the posts to which I have referred, my heart sinks as there are underlying tones which really worry me.

despite what it looks like in the adds on the tele. not everyone is happy all the time.depression is common, and debilitating.unfortunately,it seems our most depressed poster has to sink or swim on his own,but a bit of bandwidth on one defined thread used up might be a cheap lesson to everyone to keep a little more balance in life, and to put the problems of the day into perspective----there but for the grace of god............
