Does it mean that if somebody does not contact you will not be a member of "new site"?

No this will only be a site upgrade, existing members need not do anything. Any new members who would like to join currently need to send a short email to us.

I was hoping these changes would lead to the elimination of these ferals invading our site, not so far.

RE : Site down

I travel quite a bit and sometimes am away from the computer for sometime. I only was made aware that the site was down by getting an email from Suzy. If it hadnt been for that email I would not have know that the site was down until much later. Please email me if there is ever a problem with getting access to the site.

I remeber when we actually started sharesguru in 2003 after the Egoli forum, a family member had decided to turn off the computer in my room (i guess to save electricity). They were not aware that the forum was being run off that machine. I promptly got a call from Egilmore late into the night asking why the site was down. That made me realise that my computer had been switched off.

Sharesguru forum is here to stay, if the server is ever down (the site is now being hosted externally), please give it some time and it will be up again. We are currently working on a more robust forum with more features. This will take a bit of time , as this is done during my spare time.

If there are certain features that you would like to see please let me know and I shall do my best to incorporate them.

Latest News section has been added to the site. This is basically a collection of RSS feeds from a few notable local and international sites. If you would like to see some of the RSS feeds that you subscribe to please let me know and I will try my best to incorporate it. As always any suggestions are welcome.
