best guide for SMSF information is the ATO. they are the ones regulating the sector.

even the existing threads in the form are somewhat cluttered, as misconceptions and ignorance by posters is an unfortunate byproduct of this complex area. Commercial operators offering explanations usually do so as a 'loss leader' to get your business (most SMSFs are very 'sticky' and take a lot to move administators/ auditors/ advisers).

The moderator has, wisely, deleted the inane postings by some whippersnapper, including the initial one on this thread; this leaves jonasson's posting, and mine, rather orphan-like, but I can live with that.

I can't help but note the continual scammer/ spammer / trawler / mercenary New Member names, appearing on the bottom of Index page. Essentially anything non-logical, non computer- recognition, is likely to be some Richard head operator looking to inflict damage. Ignore; don't reply; definitely don't click on any links

and Judd, noted the CEO sleep-out post (My boss is doing same.)
