SSC - Sultan Corporation Ltd

Postby Disco Stu » Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:32 am

Sultan Corporation Limited is engaged in the exploration of the Peelwood zinc and copper project, and incorporating the John Fardy deposit.

Its projects include Montenegro (MB) project and Peelwood Zic/Copper project. The MB project is 20 times the size of the Peelwood North asset. It offers the Company immediate potential for commercial exploitation due to its previous mining history and infrastructure already being partially established. The MB project (100%) is in the eastern part of Montenegro located a few kilometers from the town of Mojkovac in the municipality of the same name. The MB project ore field is a significant mineralized region and consists of many mineral occurrences, including a number of medium to large individual deposits: Bskovo, Zuta Prla, Visnjica, Razvrsje and Igriste. The Peelwood project consists of seven exploration licenses EL2934, EL6081, EL6082, EL6767, EL6831, EL6955 and EL7002. They are located 70 kilometers south of the City of Bathurst in eastern New South Wales.

The Monetenegro project looks interesting.

A quick look sees it (Montenegro) as a reasonably stable place now.
Need to check out the deposit now.

Mmm... someone seems to be getting all excited with this one today. Up 1c to 3.5c with 70m vol.

Still holding onto this one, indeed have accumulated a few more. While moving forward with its Peelwood the project, my main interest remains Monty. While both sub stories are interesting, one perhaps more so than the other, although the most encouraging thing I'm seeing at the moment has been the huge, and rather sustained increase in volume, compared to prior to Feb and especially so compared to Dec. Only fly in the ointment is has been on the weekly chart there has been a bearish divergence in price vs volume... until this week. Price bounced of trend and vol spiked too, neither enough to constitute a break out, i would want to see price decisively break 3c with vol moving to 30m or so daily and at least 100m on the weekly. News flow re-Monty is supposedly due shortly - hope it's good or I could have a lot of egg on my face. Recent appointment of Mike Ralston generated a bit of buzz for a time as well.... ex-VRE director... don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but he appears to have a few fans.

Mmm... 235m volume was a little more interest than the 30m or so that I was hoping to see today. 70m shares traded in amateur hour, but it was the volume being bought later in the day that I found interesting. While the gap up this morning was pleasing to see, I would have still liked to have seen it closed intra-day - now it will be hanging around our necks like an Albatross for days to come. Anyhow will see what occurs in days to come, might be a buy the rumour sell the fact sort of play in the ST.

Up a couple points again today - interestingly most of the vol and price action came through in the afternoon. Breakout above 3.5c also occured today. Despite cutting positions elsewhere I'm hanging onto this one for the moment, at least until Montenegro is better quantified through news due shortly.

9.2mt JORC out with 3.77% Zn, 1.21%Pb and 0.36%Cu - not going to set the world alight, but okay for first stab based off old drill results. Would have liked to have seen a bigger initial resource, but then again I would have liked to have seen a leprechaun with a pot of gold at the foot of my bed when I woke up this morning. I imagine that my buy the rumour sell the fact comment from the other week will come into play today.

Tried to do a Hybrid with this one - almost free carried, but not quite. Dumped half my shares on the open when the market depth started to look pretty poor. .... the remainder will go in the bottom drawer for the time being. :|

Mmm... Signs of life in the bottom drawer. Released an interesting announcement today about drilling beneath the Monty mine works and some impressive silver strikes. Getting a bit of news lately, first some excitement about its polish project, now Monty with a decision on Togo still to come. Me thinks it is about to become a day traders plaything.

SG - thread might be in need of a rename.
